Customer Success
We partnered with Borough Care in 2021 and we’ve loved being able to support them with their food safety ever since.
Borough Care operates 12 homes across Stockport and the Staffordshire area. They operate as a not-for-profit organisation, and reinvest any surplus money into the services they offer, to serve the best interests of their residents and their families.
Prior to partnering with Navitas Safety, Borough Care were using another Food Safety Management System which was predominantly paper-based, but they were struggling to monitor and ensure all of their homes were 100% compliant with food safety standards.
Tony Gent, head of catering and hospitality, told us how he is now able to save time travelling across 12 different care homes, thanks to Navitas Safety’s Digital Food Safety platform.
“I would highly recommend Navitas food safety systems in any care home organisation, it is a very easy, simple system to use, and saves me time spent going from home to home. I have got easy access to the diaries on a daily basis where I can see all my kitchens are maintaining their food safety compliance. This saves me a lot of time and my focus can be moved over to other areas of the business.
The time saving with Navitas' digital food safety solution has been really beneficial, it is actually saving my cooks up to 1-1.5 hours on a daily basis instead of completing everything manually they now just log onto the system and complete everything online. That's 40 hours per month per home where we can actually utilise my cooks to add more value to our residents.
When it comes to your EHO checks on food safety, it's an easy system to navigate and show the inspectors what information we hold on a daily basis, with regards to food safety. Ultimately at the end of the day we are showing we are 100% compliant, especially with dealing with elderly people we need to make sure food safety standards are high."
