For example, if the findings were to be high risk, this would suggest that your site(s) may need bi-annual audits, however if the findings were to be low risk, this could be annually. Structuring your audit schedule based on risk, allows you to focus your energy into poorer functioning sites rather than on those that are exceeding in their safety management. Regardless of the frequency of your risk based auditing, Navitas Safety recommend adding a ‘Wild Card’ option so that your site(s) can be audited unexpectedly, off-schedule too.
These are randomly selected audits which can be used to assess standards on the truest reflection of day-to-day. As these are random, it ensures that all sites maintain high standards at all times as they could get an audit at any point. Your teams are kept on their toes and encouraged to maintain consistent best practice and high safety standards, at all times, not just when an inspection is upcoming.
